By Car

  • Take Freeway 1 and get off the Yuanshan Interchange down to Jianguo Road. Enter the left lane of Xinhai Road that leads southbound to Muzha District and turn right at the intersection (adjacent to the NTU campus) between Xinhai Road and Keelung Road. Go along Keelung Road and Changxing Street until you see the Taiwan Tech campus on the left.
  • Take Freeway 3 and exit from National Highway 3A to Section 3 of Xinhai Road. Turn left at the intersection between Xinhai Road and Keelung Road. Go along Keelung Road and Changxing Street until you see the Taiwan Tech campus on the left.

By the Taipei Joint Bus System

  • Bus lines: #1, #207, #275, #275(Sub), #275(Shuttle), #650, #672, #673, #907, #11(Green Line), #12 (Brown Line), Dunhua Main Line.

By Express Bus (via freeway or expressway)

  • Fuho Bus (Banqiao—Keelung; Taipei—Keelung; Xindian—Keelung; De-Lin Institute of Technology—Keelung)
  • Keelung Bus (Banqiao—Keelung)
  • Zhinan Bus/ Chungli Bus (Taoyuan—Taipei City Hall Bus Station): serves Xindian District, Gongguan, and Liuzhangli.
  • Taichung Bus/CitiAir Bus (Taichung-Taipei): serves Longtan and Xindian Districts, Liuzhangli, Taipei City Hall Bus Station, and Songshan Railway Station.
  • King Bus/e-go Bus/Chungli Bus (Chungli—Taipei): serves Yonghe and Zhonghe Districts, Gongguan, Liuzhangli, and Taipei City Hall Bus Station.
  • Yalan Bus (Hsinchu—Taipei): except Taiwan Tech, serves Industrial Technology Research Institute, National Tsing Hua University, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu Science and Industrial Park, Longtan and Xindian Districts, several MRT stations (Jingmei, Wanlong, and Gongguan), Xinsheng South Road, and Ren-Ai and Dunhua Intersection (located within walking distance of Taipei City Government).

By the MRT (Subway)

  • Leave the Gongguan station via Exit 2 (Mingchuan Elementary School). It is a 12-minute walk from the MRT Gongguan station to Taiwan Tech. Take exit 2 and turn left on the main road (Roosevelt Road). Turn left and enter the NTU campus through the NTU Zhoushan Road gate. Go straight and turn right at the corner after passing Lung Ming Hall. Go straight and cross the Keelung Road (traffic light), then enter the Taiwan Tech through the Taiwan Tech side gate. International building is the first building coming across.

From the Taoyuan International Airport 

  1. By MRT

    From Taoyuan International Airport to Taipei Main Station 
    Take the Taoyuan Airport MRT to Taipei Main Station. Make sure to take an Express train which takes 40 min to Taipei Main Station. Commuter trains stop at all stations and take 52 minutes. Then, get off at the final stop - the Taipei Main Station. Find signposts for the Taipei Metro system (MRT).

    From Taipei Main Station (Red Line R10) to Gongguan Station (Green Line G07)

    • Take the Red Line from Taipei Main Station (R10) for two stops to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall (R08, G10).
    • Get off at Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall (R08, G10), change to the Green Line, and take 4 stops to Gongguan station ( G07) on the opposite side.


    From MRT Gongguan station (exit 2) to Taiwan Tech 
    It is a 10-minute walk from the MRT Gongguan station to the Taiwan Tech Main Gate. Take exit 2 and turn left, staying on the main road (Roosevelt Road). When you come to the intersection of Roosevelt and Keelung road ( you will see a roundabout). turn left to Keelung Road and walk about 300-500 meters to the traffic lights. You will see the Main gate of Taiwan Tech on your right hand side (across the road). Or take a short ride to Taiwan Tech on the #1, #673, #907, #11(Green Line), or #12 (Brown Line) bus from Exit 1 of the Gongguan station. 

  1. By Bus
    Bus services from the Airport to the Taipei City are offered by several companies, please check the Taoyuan Airport websitefor information. Please follow the signposting in the Arrival Area to the bus departure area where you can purchase bus tickets
    A one way ticket costs around NT$140. Buses leave every 10 to 30 minutes, the bus trip to Taipei Main Station with Kuokuang Line 國光號 Nr 1819 usually takes about an hour. Then change to the Taipei Metro system, and follow the descriptions above. 
  2. By Taxi
    Taxis operating by shifts are located at the west side of the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2  Arrival Lobby. All taxis use meters and have passed strict evaluation processes by the Aviation Police Office.
